Tech Tip: Canvas Profile

For my canvas profile, I changed the avatar picture to a personal picture of myself.  I'd just feel kind of weird putting a different picture that's not myself.  I added my email to my biography because I wouldn't use the biography for anything else really.  I don't really need to change anything else, since I go by my own name.

Learning Challenge: Happiness Jar part 2

Last week, I started the "Happiness Jar" learning challenge.  I decided to write down things that made me happy onto the notes on my phone.  It was pretty hard to do, since this season of the semester is very busy for everyone, and it does indeed get very stressful.  However, the few things that I wrote down made me more thankful for the good things that happened to me.  I'm not sure if I'm the only one who experiences this, but I tend to be more happy about something if I'm concretely thankful for it.  The Happiness Jar reminds me to be more thankful of my experiences. Week 13 Story: The Man in The Suit

Anakin Skywalker was born a slave with his mother, Shmi Skywalker.   He had no father by birth, but he was instead conceived by the midi-chlorians,  microscopic organisms that live within every living organism and can speak with The Force.  Ani, a nickname for Anakin, worked for his master, Watto, in his junk shop.  As a slave, Ani was allowed to have many sorts of hobbies including pod racing and droid robotics.  He spent his free time creating and developing his very own droid, C-3PO.  In his hobby of pod racing. Ani proves that he is both talented at pod race design as well as pod race piloting.  He builds his own pod race to take involvement in local pod races in his home planet Tatooine. One day, Ani meets Qui-Gon Jinn, a Jedi Master shopping at Watto's junk shop.  Feeling as if slavery holds a lifetime of joy and happiness from his and his mother, Ani pleads and begs for Qui-Gon to use his Jedi powers and free Ani and his mother from slaveh...

Growth Mindset: Motto

Always as a child, I've been conditioned to always make straight A's because it will "give me a good job".  Growing up, I didn't pay too much attention to making good grades, but now, I see that my parents just wanted the best for my future.  I read stories of people in poverty who struggle each and every day wondering how they're going to pay off the house or even feed their own family, and that really sucks and is unfortunate.  I definitely never want to have to put my family in that situation.  So while the meme is talking about money, it really has a deeper meaning.  Money isn't always greeding to have.  As long as you don't base your life around money, money is an amazing tool to have.  In my case, I view money to take care of my family and make sure that my family is secure.  In order to do that, I have to do well in school, and so that is a big inspiration for me to do well.
