Assignments

I find the assignments a little bit strange.  It differs from other classes in that the other classes will usually have assignments that deal specifically towards its own topic.  However, in this class, it's less a class about mythology and folklore, but more of a class that encourages learning and projects while using mythology and folklore as more of a tool instead of having mythology and folklore as its core goal.  This definitely isn't a bad thing, it's just more of an unusual thing. 
One of the biggest tools in this class will be our blogs.

Topic Brainstorm

Heroes of Greek Myth: Source I've only heard a handful of stories about Mythical Heroes.  Even in the ones that I am a little familiar with, I still don't know too much specifically.  I was interested in Greek Heroes when I was younger.  I've since moved onto more important things, in my own opinion.  However, it wouldn't be bad to revisit my old interests.  I would probably write about stories of major heroic characters in Greek Mythology, such as Heracles, Odysseus, and Jason.  I would probably write it as a narrative towards a younger child, just like how I was interested in it in the past as a child. Tech Tip: Canvas Profile

For my canvas profile, I changed the avatar picture to a personal picture of myself.  I'd just feel kind of weird putting a different picture that's not myself.  I added my email to my biography because I wouldn't use the biography for anything else really.  I don't really need to change anything else, since I go by my own name.

Learning Challenge: Happiness Jar part 2

Last week, I started the "Happiness Jar" learning challenge.  I decided to write down things that made me happy onto the notes on my phone.  It was pretty hard to do, since this season of the semester is very busy for everyone, and it does indeed get very stressful.  However, the few things that I wrote down made me more thankful for the good things that happened to me.  I'm not sure if I'm the only one who experiences this, but I tend to be more happy about something if I'm concretely thankful for it.  The Happiness Jar reminds me to be more thankful of my experiences. I have more happiness whenever I am thankful .
